After spending a few years in the big leagues with the Texas Rangers, Fort Loramie grad Jared Hoying moved to South Korea to play for the Hanwha Eagles. He’s been on an absolute tear, hitting .397, with 6 HR’s, 19 RBI, in just 17 games.
And the Hanwha fans have caught Hoying Fever. They have their own song they sing during games. Obviously, we don’t speak Korean, but it’s easy to pick out the “Hoying! Hoying!”
The South Korean press has called Hoying “the hottest player in professional baseball, a foreigner, has been unforgettable” and also say he has “decibel soaring magic”.
