Wapakoneta earned a share of the WBL Title last year but saw their season end sooner than expected when they ran into Trotwood-Madison in the first round of the playoffs. When the 2017 season gets underway, the Redskins will have to fill some significant vacancies. The group of seniors from last season graduated as the the winningest class in Wapakoneta history which means there will be some big shoes to fill with the 2017 team. When you add the loss of QB Manny Vorhees, who decided not to play football this year to focus on baseball, there could be some major growing pains early on for the Redskins. HC Travis Moyer says the expectations remain high for his squad, but it’s going to take a lot of effort to keep the winning culture alive.
