William White is a football legend in our area. The Lima Senior grad played at Ohio State and then in the NFL for 11 seasons with the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, and Atlanta Falcons.
He started Super Bowl XXXIII for the Falcons before hanging up his helmet.
Over the past few years, life has been up and down for White. His son, Brendon, is currently a DB at Ohio State. Recently, however, White was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
