Less than one day after the Cleveland Cavaliers fired head coach Tyronn Lue, the Cleveland Browns followed suit.
Hue Jackson was fired Monday after a 33-18 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jackson, who was in the midst of his best season with the Browns, compiled a 3-36-1 record during his two and a half seasons in Cleveland. The Browns also fired offensive coordinator Todd Haley.
Some reports indicate 71-year-old Al Saunders will serve as interim head coach. Saunders, who has served as a senior offensive analyst for the Browns since 2016, does have head coaching experience. He garnered a 17-22 record in just over two seasons leading the San Diego Chargers in the late 1980’s.
