Mike Clevinger struck out 10 as the Indians took down the White Sox 6-3 in Cleveland. Clevinger tossed seven-and-two-third innings of one-run ball to get the win.
The Indians scored six unanswered runs to carry a 6-1 lead into the eighth inning. Francisco Lindor drove in two runs for Cleveland, which has won three-in-a-row. Yoan Moncada laced a two-run double and scored for Chicago. Carlos Rodon took the loss. The White Sox have dropped six straight.
The Indians go for a three-game sweep of the White Sox this afternoon at Progressive Field. Cleveland is 39-and-33, four games ahead of the Tigers for the AL Central lead. Ace Corey Kluber takes the mound looking for his 11th win for the Indians. Chicago counters with Reynaldo Lopez.
