The Jets’ season is off to a great start with a 48-17 blowout of the Lions in Detroit.
The Jets scored touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams in the rout. They intercepted Lions QB Matthew Stafford four times.
The first pass Jets rookie Sam Darnold threw in his NFL career was intercepted by Detroit’s Quandre Diggs and returned for a touchdown. Darnold was nearly perfect the rest of the way, completing 16-of-21 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns in a blowout win.
