After 4 years apart, ESPN Radio and Lima’s Sports Radio 93.1 The Fan have decided we’re better together.
So on Labor Day, ESPN Radio will return to Lima and we couldn’t be more excited!
Our weekday lineup will now include:
6a-10a: Golic and Wingo
10a-1p: The Dan Le Betard Show
1p-4p: The Dan Patrick Show
4p-6p: Sportstalk with Koza
We’ll also now have access to the World Series, the NBA All-Star Game and Finals, the College Football Playoff, and more!
Frequently Asked Questions
So does this mean that The Herd with Colin Cowherd is now gone?
Yes. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to keep every show we were currently airing outside of ESPN Radio. So we had to drop The Herd with Colin Cowherd. He’s been a part of 93.1 The Fan since we moved the station to the FM dial, and it’ll be a bit of a change without him.
Will you keep all our local teams?
Yes and no. We’ll still be your home for the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Columbus Blue Jackets. We have decided to no longer air the Cleveland Cavaliers and Notre Dame Fighting Irish football. With all of the great college football and NBA broadcasts ESPN Radio provides, we decided that was a better option.
We’re going to continue to broadcast high school football and basketball games as often as we can.
How does this affect the local weekend shows?
It doesn’t! Saturday Morning Sportsrap with Matt and Matt will still be every Saturday from 8 am to 10 am. They’re currently on their summer hiatus (playing a little golf!) and will return on Saturday, August 31st. Sportstalk with Billy Elvis has concluded. Billy has taken on some extra duties here at Woof Boom Radio, and can only do so many things in a week. During football season, we’ll be adding “Columbus Gameday” from 10 am to Noon. Vince Koza and Garrett Searight will host a local show that recaps and preview a certain NCAA Division I football team from central Ohio.
Are there any other changes coming?
Not at this time. With moving Sportstalk with Koza back to afternoons in January, and now making the change back to ESPN Radio, we’ve had our share of changing things this year!
