Joey Votto is the man.
And he proved it again on Thursday.
The Reds first baseman smacked a solo dinger in the bottom of the 7th, and high fived a young fan battling neuroblastoma. Watler, known at Great American Ballpark as “Superbubz”, was ecstatic to high five the former NL MVP.
But Joey didn’t stop at the high five. He gave Walter his bat, and later gave him an autographed jersey.
Joey Votto. The coolest player in baseball.
