Kenton grad Noah Furbush is in his senior season at Michigan, and made a big impact in their 49-3 win over Western Michigan.
Furbush had 2 tackles and an interception in the win, and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh had high praise for the former Wildcat.
“He’s smart. He’s got everything you’d want in a football player,” Harbaugh told the media Monday. “I’ve always thought of Noah Furbush as a guy who could be an NFL player.”
When a coach like Harbaugh says something like that, it’s probably pretty accurate. But Harbaugh revealed that Furbush actually won’t pursue football after college.
“It’s a very interesting and compelling story…he’s very serious about football, and a very important part of our team, but that’s not what he wants to do after college. He wants to go into the military, he wants to fly jets. And being an aerospace engineer, he’s already graduated. He’s in graduate studies in space engineering.”
I’ll always be more impressed with what players accomplish off the field > on the field. Today Coach Harbaugh lit up when asked about linebacker Noah Furbush (big INT vs WMU). If you haven’t heard about what @NoahJF34 is doing off the field, Coach sums it up for ya ⬇️👏 pic.twitter.com/bluEcdB27x
