Lindor to Miss Start of Spring Training, Could Miss Opening Day
The Indians have announced All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor will miss spring training camp, and maybe the start of the season, with a strained right calf.
Lindora, a three-time All-Star, batted .277 last season with 38 homers, 92 RBIs and was tied for the league lead in runs.
The Indians signed Lindor in January to a one-year, $10.55 million contract to avoid salary arbitration. He has yet to sign a long term deal with the Tribe.
Francisco Lindor has sustained a right calf strain while preparing for ST. He has started rehab & is expected to return to Major League game activity in 7-to-9 weeks.
Get well soon & keep smiling!
