For the entire season, the speculation has been whether the Blue Jackets would be forced to trade star winger Artemi Panarin. Before the season began, Panarin and his agent Dan Milstein informed Jackets brass they weren’t interested in signing an extension with Columbus.
Now just weeks before the trade deadline, Panarin has fired Milstein and signed with Sergei Bobrovsky’s agent, Paul Theofanous.

Bobrovsky, who is also an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, could potentially be moved. In the past, contract negotiations between the Blue Jackets and Bobrovsky’s camp have become contentious.
The NHL trade deadline is on February 25th.
